Founding Anniversary of Gawad Mabini: Recognizing Foreign Services that  Bring Honor and Recognition to the Filipinos

Dealing with the foreign activities of the country is a complex endeavor. Differences must be addressed, and compromise to least must be achieved while ensuring the promotion of the interest of the Philippines. It is hereafter given recognition to individuals that have unequivocally contributed to the welfare of the Philippines, its constituents, and those residing overseas.

Gawad Mabini is an honor awarded to Filipinos that have contributed to such important affairs. The ceremonial rite has been customarily held on the 22nd of July, to also commemorate the birthdate of Gat Apolinario Mabini. The award itself was named after the great Filipino revolutionary who was the first to serve as Secretary of Foreign Affairs in the First Republic of the Philippines.

To be awarded such a prestigious honor is one thing, but to advance the welfare of those they deemed to serve and ascertain the eminence of the motherland is another. Foreign service requires the initiation of enhancing and intensifying the general systematic policy-making capabilities of the provision of services in consideration of diplomacy, from the panels of experts to the geographical and concrete areas of its research institutions.

May those who will be awarded be worthy of the orient of the Filipino spirit and may those who were honored serve their purpose well.
